Baby Steps

We are making progress our file at the agency it is now fully transferred into the China Program and we are now awaiting the long long process of getting thru I800A approval. Unfortunately this means that in all reality we may not be so lucky to bring our son home before he turns 7 in July and travel may not be until September/October unless a miracle happens and the I800A approval process speeds up. Without this additional piece of paper our Dossier can not be send to China. It is very discouraging, our son should not have to wait all this time to come home to his family........ but it is what it is and we do not have any impact on this. It is all in the Hands of our maker and we just have to have faith and trust that it all happens in good time.

We got the exciting news today that our China agency approved our homestudy for the I800 A application to get Shawn’s visa FINALLY a step closer. Has it been 4 months already since we started this process? It seems like we are not moving at all though.

Ok so maybe that’s just me being impatient and wanting to bring my son home! We received an updated picture and some measurements and his package is ready to be mailed as soon as I get the go from our agency. It would be nice for him to get it all before xmass. I wonder how he will feel when he gets this all when he finds out he has a family waiting for him? I hope he is as excited about it as we are.

Well where are we at. Our dossier paperwork was completed and is in the works at our agency. Our homestudy finally finally made its way to the agency and had to go back to the case worker for some hague touches and hopefully the final copy will go back to the international agency soon so that we can finally finally send in for our I800A. Of course I already know that we need to request an extension as most families have had to do thus far and apparently there is now also a formal process to do so.

I have a care package sitting here ready for Shawn as soon as our agency gives us the go to send it out. I still need to put the finishing touches on his letter its hard to know what to say. Shawn will be fairly close to 7 by the time we get to bring him home.

We are awaiting some info from his orphanage on his surgeries for his lip and palate but we did get an updated picture of him which was fabulous!! For the most part I try to keep very busy with other things and not think about the wait, so far that has been working for me but of course as we are DTC soon that will become harder and harder.

Till then, Hugs
